Lean Supply Chain Management in the Automotive Industry – Integration as a factor of success

How to approach challenges in the automotive supply chain best? Lean SCM, digital Processes and IT-lay-out-plans are only some of the issues that will be addressed by participants and representatives of the second J&M Executive Conference for the automotive industry.

Decision-makers of the automotive industry have to find a way to create a lean but nevertheless highly effective supply chain. The frequent lack of proper approaches to innovative network strategies, the insufficient definition of processes or the complete lack of an adequate integration of IT into the business processes are some of the problems that appear and worsen the performance of supply chains and cause inefficiency. Lean Supply Chain Management can increase the performance of OEMs, suppliers and providers of aftermarket- and logistics-services in the automotive industry.

J&M Executive Conference: Decision-makers among their own

On 23 and 24 May 2012 decision makers of the automotive industry will make their way to Stuttgart and discuss current and future challenges of the automotive supply chain as well as chances connected to lean SCM within the industry. Best practices and successful concepts will be presented by experts on production, logistics and IT as well as representatives of science and research.

Main focuses of the conference

Renowned automotive companies show how they solve current SCM-challenges on the basis of hands-on examples. Some of the issues addressed in lectures will be:
